Palm Springs, California. From the moment you land in the open-air terminal, delicious local dining options you’ll quickly realize why this ultra-popular destination is the perfect place for your next “vacation.” Here’s some reasons why Palm Springs should make it onto your venture bucket list:

1. Everything is close by! There’s tons of incredible shopping, dining, bars and more all in the heart of the main downtown area which is perfect for those foodie travelers like me or for sipping from a variety of coffee shops, most of which have fantastic outdoor patios for enjoying the great weather. I was treated to Palm Spring’s Best happy hour at 1501 Uptown, just north of the city and truly can say it was some of the best gin-cocktails I’ve ever sipped on.
2. Celebrity-Sightings!  My top recommendation for the ultimate half day excursion is Big Wheel Tours which I was invited to enjoy the 3 hour celebrity electric bike tour and immerse myself into Palm Springs lavish history. Theres also a variety of museums, hiking and outdoor adventures at nearby Joshua Tree National Park that are easily accessible for a half day of fun. That feeling of the bike powering itself is definitely adventure-worthy. 
3. Friendly and welcoming people! Especially when traveling,  being somewhere that feels openly accepting of people of all backgrounds is so important. California.com agrees that “Residents of Palm Springs have a reputation for being open and welcoming” and from my time here I could not agree more.
